About Mike:
Mike Thompson is a second-generation farmer, small business owner, and a local voice for freedom and rural values. Raised in Warren, Indiana, Mike is a Quadruplet who learned the importance of hard work and personal responsibility at an early age. After graduating from Southern Wells High School, he earned a degree in Agriculture from Purdue University. At Purdue Mike Served as Outreach Coordinator for The College Republicans and Chapter President for Young Americans for Liberty, where he became an active leader for free speech and conservative principles.
Mike returned home to Huntington County in 2019 to build Thompson Family Ag Farms with his brother Nick an operation that has since tripled in size. He has also taken on additional leadership roles within the local agriculture and seed industries. As well as serving on the County Board of Zoning Appeals.
A devoted husband to his wife, Brittney, and father of two, Mike has been a strong voice against the threats that large-scale industrial solar projects pose to Indiana farmland, as well as the risks that casinos and other industrial-blight developments bring to our local communities. He has been a leader in the grassroots movement for small town preservation and protecting the future of Indiana’s farmland.
